1. INVEST IN YOUR HAIR AND YOUR CARE!
To keep your hair looking and feeling as amazing as when you walk out of the salon, it is important to keep up with professional home care products such as a Purple or Blue based Shampoo/Conditioner and a treatment.
45 Days Stunning Highlights Shampoo ($29.95) and 1002 Nutri Colour Creme ($24.95) is your new best friend.
This duo:
- Reduce unwanted brassiness
- Are ultra conditioning
- Don’t over tone
- Are sulphate and paraben FREE which means longer lasting colour!
A treatment such as the Be Fabulous C.R.E.A.M Mask ($32.95) is the perfect product to inject your hair with a massive boost of hydration. Keeping your blonde strong, shiny and healthy.
2. AVOID HARSH/STRONG SHAMPOOS.
I highly recommend to avoid strong toning shampoos such as: Fanola, DeLorenzo and Fudge. T
hese products at times can tone beautifully, but are extremely drying and damaging on the hair to the point of breakage which in the long run will compromise the integrity of the hair we have tried so hard to keep. This means a big chop will be absolutely necessary.
Fanola is not only extremely drying but it also stains porous parts on the outer layer of the hair with a patchy green/blue/grey colour. Applying toners and tint on top further push the product three layers deep into the cortex of hair. The only way to remove it is by using powder lightener to lift and blow it out. This can take multiple sessions to achieve.
3. DON’T PUT OFF THE TOUCH UP!
Be consistent. The longer the regrowth, the more difficult it is to lighten the natural roots to match your mids and ends. (Especially if you’re naturally a level 5 or darker.)
Consecutive 8-10 week appointments are crucial.
4. TONING SESSIONS ARE KEY!
In salon toners last up to 4-6 weeks. It is an easy way to keep your blonde locks looking fresh in between appointments.
Finally,
Be consistent.
Respect your hair.
Value yourself. 💕
